This flag is 21 years old today. It’s the flag for my State (Zulia), I’ve always felt strongly about it for its simplicity and the meaning of every color and element on it, they go as follow:
Blue: Represents Zulia’s hidrographic potential, especially the emblematic Lake we have, Lago de Maracaibo (Lake Maracaibo)
Black: Stands for the riches in oil that lie underground.
Sun: Represents the riches in other areas as farming and agriculture as well as the representative fucking heat of the region.
Lightning: Stands for the Zulian icon by excellence, the Relámpago del Catatumbo (Catatumbo Lightning).
This concludes my regional patriotic post for the day.

This is what we eat in Venezuela as traditional Holiday Food. It’s called Hallaca. They’re pretty cool. You should try them, especially now when families realize they made enough to last till March, Still, They’re THAT good
